I am 6 months pregnant so convenience was key for our trip and Breakers did not disappoint! The amenities and location were great. Our room was clean and the staff was friendly and polite- a very well dressed gentleman in the evening and a bubbly lady in the morning. I wish I could remember their names but they were smiling every time I saw them and so willing to help with any questions we had. We typically don't sleep well on vacation due to beds not being comfortable but the beds in our room were firm and we slept great! Everything we wanted to do was close by and the shuttle that took us to the ferry dock was an added bonus! The front desk let us borrow toys for our daughter to play with at the beach on the resort! They also had a volleyball net and Cornhole and provided the balls and sandbags!

The rooms were exceptionally clean and the included breakfast was fantastic (especially the little pepper and cheese omelettes). We especially appreciated the complementary shuttle service to and from Shepler’s Ferry as well as the discounted ferry tickets. The private beach and bonfire were also lovely amenities that we enjoyed very much. Additionally, Beverly at the concierge was an absolute joy; she was beyond helpful, genuine, funny, and so very informative about things to do in the area. We spent a day visiting Tahquamenon State Park based on her recommendation, and it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. I also appreciate that Breakers has a handicap lift available at their pool to make it accessible to every guest.

The hotel faces Lake Huron and Mackinac Island. The sunrise is breathtaking. We enjoyed the breakfast and amazing views in the hotel restaurant/bar, and gazed at the starry night by the lake with the sound of waves, then sat by the campfires. The pool and hot tub are well maintained. The hotel provides cold water, coffee, and hot tea in the lobby. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. The shower and towels are nice. We enjoyed our stay. It is going to be our future spot when visiting UP. Highly recommended!

Location on the beach was wonderful and the views to the island was nice. There was no light pollution and I feel like I was able to a million stars. Bar/Restaurant was on site and that was convenient but they get busy quickly and the wait was too long of us. The menu options looked good. The room itself was clean and bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean as well. Lotion, shampoo, and conditioner were all in bottles. No need to bring those items. Fire place was a nice touch.

Property had been refurbished: lighting, carpet in rooms, very comfy beds. My room faces Lake Huron and was on 4th floor. Slept with the drapes on the east-facing slider on Lake Huron open. Included breakfast was varied and good. Good coffee. Nightly bonfires on the beach. Next time I would rent ground floor room to have direct access to the beach. Very friendly staff. Good value for the money. I took a chance and prepaid saving about $50 for my one-night stay.
